Aubameyang, who joined Marseille in January 2019, has made an immediate impact on the French Ligue 1. In his first season with the club, Aubameyang scored 27 goals in all competitions, helping Marseille to finish in third place and qualify for the Europa League. He was named African Footballer of the Year for the second time in a row in 2019. The Gabonese forward is known for his goal-scoring ability and his work rate. In his first season at Marseille, he averaged almost two shots per game, and he also had an average of three tackles per game. His performance has been so good that he has been linked with a move to some of Europe's biggest clubs like Manchester United,Saudi Pro League Focus Arsenal or Chelsea. In the current season, Aubameyang has continued to score regularly for Marseille. As of May 2021, he had scored 26 goals in all competitions, including 15 in the league. He is currently leading the league with 48 goals, which is more than any other player in the league. Aubameyang's performances have not gone unnoticed by other teams either.
